Death of Motivation

It's quite funny. I used to often laugh at people when they mentioned how unmotivated they were with their work. Sadly I never really realised I would be in the same situation.
To be honest, I don't really have any reasons to be really unmotivated or lazy, asides from the fact that I like to have guidance in my schooling. If I don't get some form of guidance, either from friends or teachers (preferably teachers), I often get way too sidetracked and occasionally give up on my projects.
Luckily, in most cases I don't actually need any assistance and create my own stream of motivation, either through writing/thinking/searching the internet for ideas. Sadly with this mammoth project about 'what does it mean to be truly human' I'm finding way too many problems, especially with the coding software I'm using... so it seems I may not be able to accomplish what I want in the short period of time I have.
That being said, it's not like I don't want to create my Project as an iPhone application, it's just that I'm afraid that if anything goes horribly wrong, I have no technical support from anyone within my uni... This is a scary thought, because I know something major will go wrong this year and destroy my whole project or at least small parts of it, so I don't really wish to take the risk.
Either way, I do have other solutions to my project and I do have access to different programming types, I just feel like I'm letting myself down if I change it to something easier and something I am more comfortable with.

Ah well, I'm not sure what I'll do, or if I'll even continue this project...I really only wanted to do my Honours project to teach myself new skills and techniques, but I'm too fearful to go through with them.
