ah, yes
ah, yes. It's that time again when I go to sleep at 2:00-3:00am and get up between 11:00-12:00pm, sooo nice. :) Thursday was my last day of classes, but I couldn't officially enjoy my break until yesterday, for I had to wake up early to do seven hours of research which was only 75% successful. Oh, well. Such is science. I've been worried about the job market for PhD's lately. It's really tough to get a job in academia now, which is why i'm thinking about going into medical genetics (the world of medicine always needs people) I'm writing a paper on gene therapy for my honors assignment in genetics, which is actually quite fascinating. You can actually take a virus, put engineered RNA in it and infect a target organ or tissue. Now the virus will replace the mutated genes with normal ones and cure the illness! yay! Viruses are soooooo cool. I love 'em. I mean, give viruses a break, it's not like they choose to kill people. It's a mistake, really. Like, HIV won't harm monkeys, and SIV (simian immunodeficiency virus) won't harm us. So, viruses have host organisms that they don't harm, but when they accidentally cross to another species, then that's bad.
Anyway...yeah, so yesterday after I came home from research I went to see Beowulf with my dad; 'twas a great movie indeed. Then I did nothing and watched Flash Gordon; soooooooo good. Today I woke up at 11:00, ate breakfast, TOOK A SHOWER AFTER NOT HAVING SHOWERED FOR 5 DAYS STRAIGHT, kinda a personal experiment, heh, and learned some hindi.

niiiiiice. Then I saw Shawn, we did errands for his mom and went out for sushi at min ghung. That was very fun, we had long philosophical discussions, which is great because I have the upanishads, the bhaghavad gita, Descartes, Chaung Tzu, John Stuart Mill, and Confucius to draw stuff from in my arguments. We then proceeded to watch Jack-Ass the movie.
Now i'm downloading techno and chillin'...tomorrow is studying day and just general relaxing. The rest of the week i'll study only in the day and have fun in the evening/night. I don't want to kill this break.
MY FAVORITE ANIMAL IS POOPIES!!!!!!!!!!!! that's what life's all about, folks, seriously. Oh, and BTW, i'm totally a pone tony, a pone tony indeed,
