Greetings from London, everyone - for that it where I am located as I type this. I was at Live Earth last night and it was tremendous fun, and then when it was all done I had to negotiate the maze that is the London Underground, with considerable success for a complete debutante, and then I had to locate my Youth Hostel. It was a bit like orienteering, using local's directions rather than a map and compass, and made slightly less fun by the fact that my head kept dipping and my eyes half-closing, and I was half-lost and alone in a strange place at night.

I'm not going to explain how all this came about, as I have better things to be doing while I'm here than sit in front of a PC screen for hours - which I can do when I get home. But I will say that I am expressing slightly more respect for my father after he sold two standing tickets for £20 each, when their face value is £55, and kept a seating ticket, that placed him right at the far corner of Wembley - just because the two guys purchasing the tickets from him were looking for standing tickets. That's self-sacrifice, is it not?

The tickets story is a legendary one which I hope to share soon. Meanwhile, I'll be off.
