Bad Dog
I think I can add a feral dog to the list of survivors Unfortunately, I can also subtract a rooster and eight hens, including the only two that were brooding so far. To save propane, I haven't used the perimeter lights since the power line went in the storm Tuesday night, but they'll be back on starting tonight until I can get a stronger fence and a proper chicken coop set up. At least I think it was a dog. The tracks are fairly large, and somehow when I was with the chickens just now I got the impression that it was bigger and spookier than a dog. Let me get some breakfast, and by then the chickens should have calmed down enough for me to stop imagining what it was like for them when the beast attacked.
