Working Things Out

Feb 10, 2005 01:44

By sheer coincidence (hah!), Exeter's well-wishing came true this time. Dad's decided to accept the job, which is good, and in the meantime (during all of the moving/relocating/resettling/etc.) his church has waived his responsibility for preaching anything except the Sunday morning service. This is also good, because it means that I can join him without feeling guilty about forcing him to make two additional two-hour drives.

Wayne got a job. He says that it's boring (from what he describes of it, it is, too: proofreading and checking reports, from what I hear,) but it's good money, and I'm glad that he has something. Besides, it's the graveyard shift, which means that I have a good reason for my insomnia. :)

I still don't have a job. This is bad. There are, however, both state colleges and more job sites where Dad is moving, which is promising. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with something.
