I'm heading out to Ohio later today, and will be gone for most of the weekend. Skipping both church and D&D is... different, but I'll be fine (of course.) By the time I get back, perhaps the jobs I've applied to will finally respond. Then again, perhaps not. One can only hope and pray.
As well, I finally got all three endings to "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem." Very interesting game, with a storyline that's actually pretty good (most of the games I've played recently have had little to none, unfortunately...) The sanity meter was quite annoying, with numerous effects that... well... were shocking the first time, less so on the fifth. There was definate room for improvement, or at least some variety. For goodness sakes, how many zombies does one have to kill before you stop losing sanity just for seeing them? *sighs*
Still, the gameplay wasn't too bad, sanity aside, and the characters were actually quite vibrant and gripping. Also, for the record, Ulyaoth owns everything and everyone, and if it wasn't for the Deity Ban, I'd definately sponsor/sidekick it someday. :)
Also, I've finally handed Wayne an epic-level sorcerer than has much ownage, so hopefully he'll (finally!) start that d20 Modern experiment that we've both been looking forward to. If it's viable... then it would be a very interesting game, and a welcome (at least to me) diversion from the fantasy environs of D&D. Just so long as we don't have to play "ourselves." >_>
