Just got my final final paycheck (due to a clerical error, you were denied $40! Congratulations!) and I decided to spend it on Dungeon Siege; Legends of Aranna. And... I'm kind of sad, actually. It says that it has the full version of the original Dungeon Siege; which I thought was the Underdark equivilent to SimCity.
What they actually meant was the original version of Dungeon Siege; basically, Diablo's wizened, senile old grandfather. I can barely read the text, the interface is almost completely non-intuitive, and the only concious thought involved is "Hey, should I go left, or right? It doesn't really matter, though, since one way will be blocked, and I'll have to go the other way anyway..."
*sighs* Oh well, the included expansion version should be somewhat better, at least.
Speaking of "better..." I recently obtained a copy of the "Way of the Samurai;" the 3.0 expansion to Oriental Adventures dealing with, you guessed it, samurai. I'm now on a fairly high-level kick; some of the ideas from that book would make even Wayne cry (I've managed to make him Rule 0 three ideas so far, and that's just the basic ideas.) A shame that my current character won't be able to use most of the ideas, and the campaign I'm about to join is first level. Oh well...
