So, it's after 3 am. Around 10 tonight I felt like going on a massive cleaning spree (which I have been neglecting for several months) and as I was nearing the end of this pick-up, I decided to take a couple of items and store them in a storage closet in my home. Now here's the problem, the insulation is exposed. I have no idea what type it is, but I generally try to stay away from it. However, my kitten doesn't know quite as much as I do and as she was following me around like she normally does, she followed me straight into the closet. She has never been in this room and decided it was time for an adventure. I tried to coax her back to me, but instead she went straight for the crack between the roof, the exterior of the house, and the interior wall. I freaked. It was dark, I couldn't see anything, but what I did know was that there was no floor there...only tons and tons of insulation foam. I ran into the office, grabbed a flash light and shined it on the place I saw my cat last. I called her. I heard nothing. I did it again. Nothing. My heart was racing, my mind throbbing. I ran to my brother's room and woke him up. To be honest, I don't know what he could have done to help. I ran back to the closet, waiting for Andy to roll out of bed. I called for her again. And then I saw her jump out of the insulation. I have never felt so relieved in my life. Once she got back to me (which was rather humorous to watch her navigate back to solid ground) she was covered in insulation. I brushed off what I could and then locked her in the bathroom. I have no idea if fiber glass is that stuff and I am so afraid that she ate some or that it got into her skin. I tried to wash her off, which like all cats, especially one getting a bath for the first time, was almost impossible. I'm so afraid. I don't know what to do. She's running around like normal, but I don't know if I need to take or to the vet or what, and if I did would they even be able to help given that the damage is done...
