Hello all. Been a while since I posted last and a little bit has changed in my life. I've since graduated from university and found myself a job back home. I guess "Welcome to the real world" is quite a shock. But a degree in one thing doesn't mean you have to stay there. I know an English major that joined the military as an officer, a triple major in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and business management that ran this own videogame store after working jobs from mechanic to broker, a psychology major that went to medical school, a biomedical engineering studying quantum physics as a doctoral student, and a chemistry major that plans to open a martial arts school.

So, options are pretty well open. There's a few programs that allow you to teach English abroad (like JET), as you probably know. There's a list of others here http://www.roadjunky.com/guide/755/english-teaching-guide-for-the-traveler

There's plenty of places you can find work at, and don't underestimate networking. Like call the company's head of recruitment yourself (or their PR guy to find out who that is). That's how I got a part time job at a hospital I still work out.
