Thoughts on Doctor Who: The End of Time

Jan 02, 2010 21:16

I'm posting this so that any other fans who've watched David Tennant's final episode can give their feelings on his time in the role as well as Russell T. Davies's run as producer. Please know that within these posts, I'm allowing for spoilers on everything so if you haven't seen the finale, please don't be angry by the commentary either under this cut or from the respondents Below. I'll probably be constantly updating this post with varying thoughts as they come to me. Here goes.

The End of Time and the Waters of Mars have largely been better character episodes than storytelling episodes, but I've enjoyed the characters quite a bit. End of time does make me curious about my favorite Tennant episode, "Blink". The Doctor described The Weeping Angels as a different race it sounded like but it seems there's a heck of a lot more to them. Mutated Galifreyans, maybe? Hmmm. Why did he look at Donna that last time? This doesn't bode well. Wonder if we'll ever see Romana or The Rani or any other Time Lords now that Galifrey itself was (briefly) brought into the picture. Sounds like there's a ton of enemies that will come from this.
