Just when you thought Chinese companies couldn't possibly knock anything else off...
I have managed to acquire knockoff baking soda. It's a familiar-looking orange box with a picture of a hammer and the brandname "HAMMER NOODLES" written proudly below it. The company claims to date back to 1938. I don't believe it.
But hey, it's baking soda! And I have some batter for pancakes almost prepared as a result. There may be a few minor hitches, but if not, I will soon have my first Chinese batch of delicious banana pancakes!
