I made it back! That was a hell of a lot of driving, so I'll be happy to stay out of my car as much as possible the next couple of days. It still feels weird being in my room after spending so much time on the road. I just need to roll around on the floor a bit and kick a soccer ball into one of the lights, then I'll feel right at home.
Phoenix was kind of interesting, although not without its faults. It's easy to get around, but it takes forever to get anywhere. The driving range that I went to was pretty fun since I could try to hit my golf balls at cactuses or giant mounds of dust. It's kind of strange being somewhere where it never really goes below 90 degrees. I felt like a needed some contraption like a backpack full of water that just kept trickling water on top of my head. The people walking behind me in the mall might not appreciate it though.
I didn't really have time to do Las Vegas properly, so I did a little bit of gambling in my hotel casino, smoked some weed and walked down the strip. That was entertainment enough, I have to say. It's like the city is just some giant toy; a toy full of crazy people with lots of money.
Other than that I did some normal vacation stuff like going to the beach and paddling down a river on a raft. It was a cool experience and I'm glad I did it, but I don't think I'd do it again. Too damn much time in the driver's seat, haha.
