I made the decision a couple weeks ago that I'm going to do whatever it takes to find a real job in he field of journalism now that I'm done taking full courseloads of schoolwork (at least for a while). That means revamping my resumee, fixing up my wardrobe (including finally learning how to tie a stupid tie), and making connections in any way possible. Not even necessarily looking for work at first, just getting to know people in the business and finding out all that I can. Of course I'm plenty willing to be the office grunt to start out, but as long as I'm learning and making an impression I'm golden. I've still got a couple years before I start feeling too old, so some progress is all that I need.
Also there's the possibility that my current landlord might want to sell the house that I've been living in for the past three years. I think I'd like to live there for one more year even though it's coming apart at the seams, but it's possible I'll have to look for a place to live come the end of August. I can't even imagine going through and getting rid of all the junk that we've accumulated over the years, so if we do end up moving there might be a slightly larger than usual pile of garbage that week. A garage sale is probably in order either way.
