I hate to burst your bubble, but sadly Persona 2 isn't nearly as rare as it used to be. Copies of that, along with Breath of Fire IV, Gitaroo Man on PS2 and a few others recently were sent in mass quantities to all GameStops nationwide - all used, all complete, and all in mint condition - with no explanation whatsoever. I saw this as well, and not long after that I also saw copies in every other GameStop I frequent. It sucks, and it's misleading...but it's the crappy truth. Speculation is that copies of these obscure titles were "found" in a warehouse somewhere and just now got sent out. It's...weird.
It's still harder to find than most PS1 stuff though, I'm sure. Let me know how it is - I'd be curious to pick one up for myself. Now if only GameStops would get a mysterious shipment of Castlevania Chronicles...
Wow, that kinda blows. Ah well. It's a fantastic game complete with a deep engaging story and fleshed-out characters. Dialogue is good, along with well-spoken, but sparse voice-overs due to it's surprising length.
"Rumors come true" "Reality is what you make it." These phrases summarize the plot of Persona 2, part 2 quite well.
Persona 1, for PSX was released by Atlus in 98 or 97 I think.. I think the main character's name was Nate or something. Fantastic RPG. *drool* Pretty hard to find too.
But I was talking about Persona 2: Innocent Sin (part 1 of the sequel) which I thought never made it stateside. Whereas Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (part 2 of the sequel) was released.
Yeah, they did release part 1...though Persona was the subtitle (kinda like how Tribes 2 was a sequel to Starseige: Tribes, which in and of itself was a sequel to something else entirely). The full name escapes me at the moment, though. I'm glad to hear it's good...I'll pick it up one of these days.
