1. walking barefoot in the fields collecting queen anne's lace and morning glories
2. reading books and drinking iced tea in glass jugs
3. drawing in ink and getting my fingers all blotchy with colors
4. writing because I don't care that I don't know how to spell and because I want to

6. talking to a pakistani man who plays the clarinet like a god for all the people passing by in the street
7. thinking about people I have known
8. crying over all the places I have been
9. trying to forget all the places I have been
10. hating myself fervently
11. trying to forgive myself and laugh because that's all that makes sense to do anymore
12. being dramatic and embarrassed about it

18. I'm ready to mount and lean forward with my heels in this steed's sides, giving freedom to the rein, releasing the bit to let the sweeping waters pick a course
19. standing in the twilight overlooking the ocean, the sky pink and blushing, the slim crescent moon hanging way up there, feeling the wind on my face and neck, imploding and soaking it all up
