Rebels with a cause!
So again for another entry!!! Today i went to my first Munster Final- Cork vs Tipperary as most of yee SHOULD KNOW!!! and of course we won.... UP THE REBELS LOL! but truly it was a great match to be at, i was positioned right behind the goal that tipperary guarded in the first half and i was witness to that wonderful cork created!!!! What made the day extra great was being in the mixed stand (but really it was predominately tipp) with a few rebels speckled throughout!! And dam did we fight to make our voices and support for Cork heard. What also made my day more intrigueing was the language that the Tipperary men behind me cursed out!!! I swear, it was appauling. Yes we all yet the few words slip but i mean, this man was going at every player (including the ref) on the pitch and screaching his mind out as spitt fluttered on to the head of my friend!
Second half was a different story, credit should be given to Tipp for their comeback attempt, really they really took the game to cork!!! But honestly when they fired the sliotar past donal óg into the net i was gutted, and what made the situation worse was a photographer who took a picture of the happy tipperary people with me and few other corkers frowning in between.
All is well that ends well, and this match certainly did, another goal was narrowly avoided and shit, it was dam close, with the whole stand i was standing in gasping in disbelief and liddle ole me clapping as the sliotar skimmed past the goal post!!!
Herray- rebels won this round, and ON TO THE SEMI'S!!!
sadly on the journey home, i walked about a mile in the wrong direction, and had to walk then 4miles to reach a location where my dad would be able to collect me...and boy was i shatter after my 4 hours of standing in the terraces, Oh thank god we won, im shattered, off i go!!
