SO there's an article in The Breeze today (our school newspaper), ok well, not really an article, more like a little picture with a caption, about how to work the new sundial that they just kinda randomly decided to build in the middle of the sidewalk. So, we're all walking past it thinking, "um...there's no sticky up thingy" ok but get this...YOU STAND ON IT!! You stand on it and where your shadow falls is what time it is! Is that not the randomest thing u've heard of? It's like you're int he middle of math class and you're like, "oh man, i forgot my watch, i wonder what time it is," so you ask the guy beside you and you're like "hey what time is it?" and they're like, "I dunno...hang on, I'll be right back." and like 20 min later they come back and they're like, "It's 4:00, i know cause i went and stood on the sundial." its just kinda funny to me. maybe you have to be here.
i walked with a nice guy to chem this morning he's from Midlothian. hehe...i didn't get his name though, but i know he lives on the 2nd floor of our building. I hope I run into him again!!!
Hmmm...so this chick was cheating off my math test yesterday. I was all like, "b*tch!" but I didn't say anything. Mostly bc while she was looking at my paper i was preoccupied with covering my answers and i couldn't really think about the details of the problems, so it looked like i was about done, and she got up and turned her paper in and left, I finally got a chance to actually focus on the problems and it turned out i had gotten a lot of them wrong with stupid mistakes, so if she did copy off me, she's screwed!
I'm excited -- i start Emerging Leaders Training tonight @ Crusade (christian group).
You know what makes me happy? I learned about letterboxing and how to make my own rubber stamp in arts and crafts club last night. I want to make a stamp with my dad's initials and dates and an angel on it once i get more practice and can make ones that don't look like random blobs. Last night i made one with my initials on it. It's not bad :)
I'm hungry bc I didn't eat b'fast today bc I want to save my punch for lunch (rhyme!)
I can't wait to take bio270, anatomy, bc you get to do a cadaver lab in that class. I'm really interested to see how i'm gonna react to it, i mean, cause my dad is dead and everything. like i don't want to freak out, but i want to learn bc I think it will be a great learning experience about the human body. I mean, these people donated their bodies to science, it's not like they were little frogs bred in captivity for the sole purpose of being killed, so it's not so inhumane, but at the same time that makes it more personal. I just hope I get an old person, not a young person bc I would hate to think about how it was some little kids dad...because as Emily Lang put it so bluntly one time at camp, "Old people are supposed to die!" or if its a person my age that died from something like alcohol or drugs. that would be discerning.
ok so i'm totally going off on random tangents now. maybe i should stop talking before I get to something violent.
