So I have been crying a lot lately...why might you ask...I feel out of place...I am in transition from being an undergrad to a grad student which means I cannot return to UMD and move into the dorms or new apartments like everyone else, I will not see Liz, Jen, Kim, Lisa, Nate, Bill, Oakley, Rich, Eric, James, Fricker, Megan, ect., and I am not

When I feel similarly, I try to tell myself the feeling is fleeting. I focus on the moment, try not to think about the past or focus on the future, and either work (write, not bookstore), watch a movie, or read. Sometimes indulging in a guilty pleasure (for me, it's usually Star Wars-related and has to do with looking at the action figure collection or stuff online). Sometimes I listen to music, though that can increase the strange, almost empty, lonely feeling. These things don't always work, but sometimes they do.

But it passes. That's the important thing. It passes.

heyy Lora! lets see i might not have anything overly helpful to say but i just wanted to say that i am thinking of you and UMD wont be the same without you. but dont worry your a strong individual and i know that with your personality you will make friends in no time. just keep a positive attitude and go in there with a smile and i know that you will fit right in. If you ever need to talk or reminise just call me up, if i dont get back to you right away leave a voicemail and i will of course call u back!!! miss you hope this helped even a little

I love you and miss you too Kim...I will never forget all of the really cool moments we shared from learning how to use the patch in my bathroom to your 21st birthday the entire night leading up to midnight...I just love you as a friend more than you will ever know. I should be coming to UMass hopefully on October 1st for the homecoming football game with my uncle...you better be sure you're available to come and spend some time with the two of us!!!
