is near. In the form of essays, labs, tests and exams of course.
That's right! Second term is coming to an end and everyone is scrambling to get marks in. It mostly involves the teacher giving tons of work so the student can slave over them for a very stressful period of time, then it's the teachers' turn to mark them and get the marks in.
Personally I have more reasons to be stressed because my second term is cut short two days, for a very very fabulous and fantastical reason. I'M GOING TO FRANCE FOR SPRING BREAK!!! With all my friends! And among the piles of homework, I can't help but be excited. It'll be awesome. Because, well, you can't go wrong with Paris. I hope I can deal with 8 days without internet though.
In other news, I have some Happy Birthdays to dole out on this 1st of March. Fictional ones, mind you. First, it's Mr. Ronald Bilius Weasley's 26th birthday. Congrats Ron! Hopefully by this time you've survived the war and managed get it into your thick skull that Hermione loves you too.
Second we have Aragorn son of Arathorn, King Elessar Telcontar of Gondor and Arnor.* It is a happy and sad day, as His Majesty also passed beyond the circle of the world on this day. But as he still lives in the very pages of the Red Book of Westmarch, I would like to congratulate him (and squee fangirly at him if possible). In the books, by the way, it is the day Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas meet Gandalf the White in Fangorn Forest. He turns 88 on that day.
(*Ok it is slightly iffy as the Middle-earth calendar doesn't entirely match up with the Gregorian, but I missed it when it was supposed to happen (Feb. 22 I think) so I'm going to be literal with it.)
(Gosh, I sound geeky.)
The next fictional birthday is on Mar. 10th for our very own Mr. Lupin. Except I won't have internet access on that date. I'll probably post something when we get close to it though.
