I am very tired this morning. I believe I slept well last night but this morning the freaking phone woke me early. Hubs boss must have got back from Florida while spending my hubs money. Yeah you read that right. Hub still hasn’t got paid in full all the money from lobstering , yet his boss can go on vacation and party away while we sit here wondering how the next bill is going to get paid, nice eh? I refuse to answer the phone because I only have a few words to say to this man and they are not nice words. My hub is not going to be working for him anymore. It has been too many years of going through this crap of not getting paid and enough is enough.
I cannot believe how many things I have run out of in the house since I’ve been sick. I thought for dinner today I’d make some meat hash. I started peeling the potatoes, never thinking to look in the cupboard to see if we had any. Well when I looked there was no canned beef. I thought ok, we will have scalloped potatoes than. HA! We have no canned milk or milk in the carton; gram had the last of the milk this morning for breakfast. I shook my head and started going through the cupboard some more. Holy feck we are out of a lot of things... I decided since I have a pot full of potatoes I will cook them and mashed them and have canned ham with them, since I have nothing else here. Great meal eh?? NOT! I need to get grocery shopping!!!!!!
The home care worker is coming today but I’m not going anywhere. Yesterday while I was in the doctors’ office I nearly fell asleep in the chair. My energy level is next to nothing still. It could be from the antibiotics since my body doesn’t handle antibiotics very well but I really do need my energy back. I hate feeling this tired all the time. I’m just poking along with my housework. One step at a time. The upstairs is still a mess but right now I’m focusing on the downstairs.
I asked hub if he could make a cat door out in the hallway entrance. The cats were annoying me to no end because they would rattle the door and you’d have to let them in by opening the door because the noise was enough to make any sane person go insane. Keep in mind this house is over 100 years old so the doors don’t fit tight and when the house shifts, so do the doors. Hub made an opening yesterday in the door and it has two hinges so the little door swings back and forth. Now it took the cats some time to get use to this. Cuddles, our oldest cat, used the door right away. Lydia was second to become adjusted to it and Tigger is still figuring it out. The odd thing is everyone thinks my little disabled kitty Lydia is stupid because of her condition but that is so not the case. We showed her how to use the cat door twice and she caught on right away. Smart kitty, she is! Now the other 3 cats have not used it yet. It should be fun to see how long it takes them to adjust to it.
I miss my big fish. We only have the two fish now
