I come from a world that does not have many advancements in technology and most towns and cities are essentially lorded over by power-hungry bastard wizards.
Back at home, I worked at my mom's bookstore. It was pretty comfy there, and I tended to hole myself up in the upstairs and read half of the time I was supposed to be working. I guess that's my equivalent to your bar...a safe, comfy place.
Do I now? Well, it's not terribly difficult. Eventually it becomes a matter of remembering what everything is named and what's in it. There's a book in the library you might want to look at. Bartender's Black Book.
It's good to read a lot. The smartest and most useful people I know do.

Well...at least you had your bar?

I did. The bar and the town it's in are both wonderful and safe from their control.

A safe comfy place indeed. Nowhere did I feel safer than behind the bar with a few of my friends around.
What do you like to read?

Ah, well, I kinda read a lot of everything. My favorite book when I was younger, though, was Alice in Wonderland...now, I can't even pick a favorite!

That's one thing I love about reading...all the different things you can learn about while doing it.
