Locked to Severus Snape

I take it that the experiments were encouraging - does this mean that you wish me to acquire a live specimen? Because there is one young person in particular who is annoying me with his presumption, and could well benefit from being experimented upon.

I shall pass on your offer to Draco. I have little hope that he will have the sense to take you up on it, but I shall have done all I can.

I have spoken to Severus about continuing your Occlumency lessons - he is willing, if cautious. It is a matter for you whether you avail yourself of the offer.

I can assure you, it will be safe for you to do so. It has been suggested that that Manor would be a sensible place to meet.

Private

There are times when even a hardened Death Eater wishes to pluck his robes up and go Ew! There's something utterly repellent about playing around with dead people's limbs, a reaction that was only made worse by the incongruity of the floral theme of the decor. Perhaps it was the chintz that turned my stomach, rather than the cold-blooded prodding.

Whatever he was doing - and explanations were not entirely forthcoming - required the strongest wards one can produce without a blood sacrifice, and I had omitted to provide the necessary goat for those. Then he produced this lens from a box, and proceeded to hold it over the arms muttering away to himself, only punctuating his mutterings with peremptory commands to me, and swearing to himself.

It hurt like hell when he held it over my Mark, stinging with the kind of backlash He would put into a particularly urgnet summoning, the sort that makes your mouth dry until you can work out who is going to be on the receiving end of that bout of temper.

Though Severus was very thoughtful in bringing me several potions that will help me in my search for the second Mrs Malfoy, though he assures me none of the Order members will do. Having met them, I can see his point. None of them really had the requisite air of grace and authority, though I suppose a temporary liaison with someone might enhance my standing after the war.

The prospect of dalliance with Minerva McGonagall makes my blood run cold.

Though the fashion seems to be to take up with the youngsters in the group - on the one hand I do wish that people would be more careful with their locks for the sake of security; on the other, it's the only way I ever really find out anything.
