[There's a clearing of a throat, yet the voice sounds rather unused. Because for a week it hadn't been used at all.]Lavi here, just saying that I'm back and lessons will continue like normal. First group, I'll see you tomorrow, second group the next day. I'm still not up to having a class right now. However if you need help with something I'm on

[He smiles widely.]
Ah, in any case, I'm one of the new people... [a sheepish laugh.] I guess.
I'm Shing Meteoryte, the Soma User. Nice to meet you, Lavi.

Fine, just didn't talk a lot last week.
[A smile and a nod.] Same, sorry you got dropped here with the rest of us. Did everyone fill you in on everything?
Reply
[thoughtful look.]
Not sure... I just know this is a place in another world, that strangely has only one moon and we were kidnapped by a little girl that calls everyone "toys". [have a little frown at that; Shing does not approve of anyone being called a toy.]

[aka Private business.]
Anything about Credinta or what we've got going on here?
Reply
Nope, haven't heard about that yet.

Credinta, the city across the river, has a thing about us. They're either scared of what happened to the people here, scared of us, or hate us. Whatever the reason, they'll arrest you on sight over there and the jail is reportedly very hard to break out of without outside help. However there are a few kind people that have asked the soldiers guarding the wall to bring us things sometimes. We live off of that, what we can steal or buy when we sneak over or what we find over here, which isn't a lot and getting smaller with all the new faces.
As for what we deal with over here, you probably arrived just as Libitina's play week ended. She spends a week a month torturing us with something weird, this month it was our own dead bodies, month before it was writings on the wall, our secrets, another month it was two weeks of fog and no buildings at all.

Wait, can't we just talk to them? If we explained I'm sure they would listen!
[or at least, Shing believes so. But then again, he would do anything he can, even put his own life on risk to make someone believe his words.
The next part makes him shake his head in disbelief.]
She can seriously do something like that? [he frowns.] Just... what exactly is she?

They'd rather throw us in jail, not to mention different languages. Russian is the native tongue around here. Not English.
She's a ghost, more or less, a girl who died in the incident here and is trapped with us. But she does what her master tells her to, and he's apparently a bastard. I haven't seen him but once.
Reply
Wait. She's a g-ghost? [He looks scared for a moment. Only for a moment, though.] But she's in trouble, too, huh? [Yes, he has a wonderful plan.] We have to save her, then! [he nods to himself.] Grandpa always said that "if someone is in trouble, you have to save them, but if a girl is in trouble, you have to save her no matter what"!

She doesn't want our help, believe me, I've tried talking to her. It doesn't work. Others have also tried talking to her with the same results, she'd rather just play with us or eat us.

Aren't there any other towns around?
[as for the other part.]
Sometimes just talking isn't enough... ah, right. She's a ghost. Ghosts probably don't have Spiria. [he could try linking with it if she had one.] Well, in any case, there has to be something we can still do.
Reply
No. Not that we've seen.
If you want to try something with her, be my guest. [Too irritated to ask what Spiria is.]

[Soma Users don't attack people usually.
Now he is a little confused; he knows something is not right, but he has no idea what.]
...Are you sure you're alright?
[yeah, we're back to this]
Reply
I'd rather not talk about it, alright?
Reply
[(not without a very good reason that is)]
...Oh. Alright. Sorry. [Giving up (for now).]
