Oh, the shame
My mother in law visited last weekend. Was the house clean? No. (We did at least vacuum some rooms, including the great room downstairs.) But here is the worst thing. The little chain in the toilet tank broke just before she came. And we DIDN'T fix it. (Mostly because we weren't sure how.) So she had to flush by opening the tank and lifting that black valve thing.
Isn't that horrible?
The good news is that I went to Lowe's and a very nice man there helped me pick out a new chain and valve and told me how to fix the toilet. So at least next time she can have a real flush.
