So, it's two weeks since we all started with our grand to-do's. I've found once again that the technique I used at work, yea years ago, is paying off for me. I got a nice journal, and every day I write out the to-list, and cross things off, and add new things, and each day I copy what's left over.
Right now I'm using an undated journal, and have gone from needing two pages to only needing one. Some things are written in daily to remind me to keep on top of them: litter box, dishwasher, keeping emails down, etc.
I also succumbed to temptation and ordered a 2005 Franklin Covey wirebound journal set. It was on sale, because we're six months into the year, but I like the format of having one book per month, and will give it a shot. I'll order the 2006 version later. I also think I could use the calendar.
It seems that electronic calendaring systems don't work for me, as I break or lose the devices, or forget to turn on the program. I have Daytimer software but only use it to keep my contacts under control, assuming that I remember. :-P
So, that's me. My to-do list is much smaller and I feel significantly less overwhelmed. Sometimes I play games with myself: do a task I don't want to, then do something I'll enjoy. That works, too.
