Greenish thumb.
My $15 cantaloupes ... update! 5 lovely plants with long streamy vines with cute yellow flowers and at least 15 little cantaloupeys. If you are the praying sort, pray I have growing season left.
back in june they were small cute things.
now they have their own area of the deck. And blankies so they are comfy.
Friday ... about 1 1/2 inches

There are at least 15 of them. More than my money's worth. If it gets cold, well I'll rig a tent of some sort. Greententhouse :)
Also growing carrots and I think, leeks. Porree. So far they are green onion size, but they are crispy-ish like leeks. Nice. Die carrots are very sweet. The kiddos love to munch them as we thin them out. :) Ok there's the cantaloupe saga I have seeds left over and will buy bigger things to plant them in for next year. However, the orchid plant goes to my friend Anne at work who loves them. It frightens me with its neediness. Ciao
