The funeral was very fitting. The phoenix's song simply added to an atmosphere where I already felt like air was being sucked from my lungs. He will be missed but his death shall not be in vain.
I looked about at the funeral and I felt so alone. I couldn't even bear talking to Harry nor any of the others. Truly I felt as though I were in a black hole and everything sucked away as I stared at the white tomb for Merlin knows how long before I dropped my head and allowed myself to cry and fully mourn this man. And I feel guilty that all the while I wished Tonks had been here to hold my hand, smile brightly and tell me that we'll do whatever it takes to end this war once and for all.
