That's the sole reason I have returned to you. Plus, my previous entries AMUSE me.
Here then, is what I would say, were this, saaay, posted in my xanga.
YEAH!
HI! HOW'S IT GOING?! I'm doing FANTASTICALLY! I will even tell you what I have been doing! I just finished Harry Potter liiiek an hour ago. Jordan and I went and got it on Friday at midnight, stayed up till like 6 reading it, then passed out in my living room. Eventually we woke up and got on with life and then I finished reading it today. I will save you an indepth analysis and commentary and bring immediate thoughts about it to you, because I know you definitely want to hear them. Really.
UM, first, stupid epilogue, it was stupid. Still wondering what happened in the lives of many other major characters, and what happened to Lupin's kid? Did he just raise himself? Did he stay with Harry? I only care because I was mad that she killed Lupin so unceremoniously when annoying Dobby got a 3 page funeral. Whatever. Did George continue the business without Fred? Where'd Luna go? Albus Severus is a horrible name.
I think about 100 pages could be shaved off of the middle of the book. Was it really necessary to follow the trio around for about a zillion chapters while they did nothing? I forgot the other characters existed. And I missed them living at Grimmauld Place. I liked Sirius' room and Regulus' story. Tragic.
Jordan and I were hysterical in the chapter with the Harry decoys, wishing Hagrid would have died and reading as all characters commented on Voldemort's flying skills. And the stupid motorcycle.
Halfway through the book I was not satisfied and thought that Rowling was destroying all of her previous plans and plots by introducing the stupid Hallows idea (deathstick???), and I was annoyed at that until things actually got exciting again when Harry went back to hoggywarts. Didn't ever really like Dumbledore, so I didn't really care to learn all about his past and AUGH. I liked Snape's memories.
I got all sad when Harry was going to meet Voldyrific in the woods and ghosty Sirius, Remus, James and Lily, were there. It was poignant and deathly.
AW and I liked when Hermione finally kissed Ron. OH and when they were in the room of requirement before everything got crazy and Percy comes in and apologizes and then Lupin is flailing about with baby pictures to ease awkwardness. And right before Fred dies, and Percy makes him laugh...tear. Okay, I guess I liked the book. But if you don't feel like reading the whole thing, I'd say just pick it up at the last 200 pages.
