My understanding - and one hopes this is correct, given the complete lack of currency exchange - is that whatever passes for a landlord in your new and thrilling vicinity extends some leniency until a person can find some means of gainful employment.

I can't speak as to whether or not you're really here, however; judging a stranger's proclivities toward solipsism seems unfair at the onset.

Do they? Oh, good, I've just got myself used tae livin' alone: I don't want t' go back t' shared quarters if it isnae necessary.

[Aaaaaaand he followed you up til that.] Solipsism?

Unless the ticking bothers you, in which case you can do with a pet. [Elliot is totally an expert on living alone, although he does ...not, currently, that is a lengthy story full of epic romance and not for inflicting on strangers.]

Ah--solipsism is the belief that only a person's mind can truly be justified to exist. You might be imagining all of this--or I might, who can say?

Animals work? It doesnae have to be a human or.....someone human-like? [And here begins a string of a long line of dying goldfish.]

RIght, well, I decided to accept it as real, cos it doesnae seem t' be going away. It might not be real but takin' it like it is's loads more fun. Though I reckon that'd probably explain all of the patients off in their own world. It's probably a more interesting one. Maybe they're all here!

So goes the rumor, but as I live in the middle of an accidental menagerie, you may want to inquire with someone whose experiences are more applicable.

Gods know they might be, it would make a great deal of sense. Figuratively speaking.

I dunno if anyone'd have more applicable experiences than someone in an "accidental menagerie". You're bound t' know something about animals and ticking.

I'll have to try and ask them when I get home.

true fact: I once had a student hand in a paper who had typed it on her iPod schisming January 23 2011, 04:09:58 UTC
I should specify that at least one of those other animals is human. What I mean to say is that it's difficult to swing one's arms without hitting something living, so I've no idea how you might do with only a cat, for instance.

Ask them if they frequently see Yeti, that's a recent feature here. Do you often have the opportunity to converse with those on a different plane? So to speak.

What, honestly? >.> That must've been fun to mark loonyandproud January 23 2011, 05:00:16 UTC
Right, and I havenae had any luck with a human animal so far, either, so I really had best ask someone else. Okay.

Ohhhh it was a Yeti. And aye, I do. I've been livin' at St. Jude's--a mental asylum--for the last four years, on and off. Currently off, but I still visit, sometimes. Most of my best friends're there.
