Never thought I'd hate snow ...

... but I have to say it's getting on my nerves now. I usually welcome the snow because in the UK, we hardly get any (compared with other countries). But this week has been hell!!

A whole week of University has been cancelled, and while I welcomed the break following the horrible exams two weeks ago, it's been a complete waste of time. This week was scheduled in specially to meet other students from differnt course who we'll be working with for the course of the semester. Thankfully, I met all but one member of my team. Bless our module lead - he's been hiding in the dark as he doesn't know what he's done to deserve this.

As the whole week had been cancelled, I have had nothing to do. Yes, I'd go enjoy the weather if I weren't ill. I'd travel home except we've been warned not to travel as the conditions are quite severe. What's more, we're apparently running out of grit for the roads!

I read somewhere on our local news page that "it's pathetic. Other places can deal with this weather and not cause all sorts of disruption to the roads, etc." I have to agree. Compared to other countries, I'd say we haven't really tackled this situation as best we could.

End of rant.
