Yesterday...it took me FOREVER to finish my homework. But today...I was all done at 5:30. AND I got an ice cream sandwich on the way home from school! Rock rock on!!!
As for the rest of today, English was dead boring, and French was also dead boring, although slightly less so because I was on Jeopardy team that was in absolute last place as thus didn't have to worry all that much about the dumb-ass mistakes I made, because the winning team was precisely 300 points ahead. Literally. Speaking of English, which I...sort of...was, a cool thing happened to me when I was sitting around, as I do, and my Mom came in and said Hey! You're reading the Scarlet Letter right? Here's an old school copy of it from like the 1960s! Check it out! (Although those were not her exact words). At first I was thinking..ok...how is this interesting? BUT, it turned out that it related awesomely, because earlier (by...like...a lot, says Signor Articulate) I had talked with Ms. Schmitz about how I definately did not have enough notes in my Larlet Setter, as I call it. And when I opened my uncle's copy from the 60s...Full. Of. Notes. Sweet! Actually, it was only semi-sweet (HA!) because they only went on for about half the first chapter - it must be a genetic thing. At least, that'll be my excuse. But it was still pretty cool. And it led me to discover that appearently we have a whole bunch of books that this same uncle borrowed from the Duke library while in college and just never returned. Apparently he did a similar thing when he left college to come home for the summer - instead of packing up, he just took the drawers out of his dresser and took them with him. My Mom threw them out about five years ago. Weird...
