Title: Forgetting Alone
Time Setting: Post-HBP/early book 7
Rating: PG, unfortunately. ;) It's very, very hard for me to imagine smut with this pairing anyway. (Though if anyone knows of any that are good... ;))
A/N: This fic came from an image I somehow got in my head - Luna, hanging upside down from a tree, watching Harry. After surfing the ( Read more... )

Wow! That's awesome - they really do work well as an older H/L. :)

Oh, that was absolutely lovely.

You got Luna's characterization down to a T :)

This was a nice story, and I liked your version of Luna. I also liked how while simply friends, there were some shipper moments underneath it.

Thanks! I was trying to keep their friendship true to the dynamic they have in current canon, and have that be the dominant thread, but still leave a few hints to allow for the possibility that more could come from it. *g*

Aww. That was sweet. You know I don't really ship them, but this was a friendhsip story as much as a potentially shippy one, which rocked. And I agree with the others that you did a very good job with Luna's characterization.

Thanks! :) And hey, you've got to admit that Harry ending up with Luna beats... other certain alternatives out there. ;)

Of COURSE I do. You know that. :) As long as another ship that must not be named doesn't accompany it. :)

I really liked this! It is easy to see Luna just like that, so unconcerned with the wiles most females use when trying to get attention from a boy. I agree with marie that it is entirely believable no matter who you like to see Harry paired with.

Thanks, Rei! :)

Definitely. Luna seems so unconcerned with how she appears to other people. She doesn't change herself to make herself more attractive to anyone, boys included. On the other hand, since she's apparently "accepted" that she's an outcast, she unfortunately doesn't do much actively to pursue friendships; even after all they went through together in OotP, in HBP Luna considers it perfectly normal for Harry to not want to associate with her anymore. (It's part of why I like the idea of her with Harry - in his current romantic experience, Harry's been pretty passive; it's always been the girl who's made the first move - Cho kisses him, Ginny leaps eagerly into his arms. If he wanted anything to happen with Luna, he'd have to be the proactive one, I think.)
