Oh hai.
I realise i am almost a week late with this but i wanted to note it for posterity in my journal. i've nicked some photos from
rave_andou and
foxglovecake so if you would like me to take down any of the photos then give me a pm and i will do so...
i had my very first loli meet on Saturday which was very exciting! Especially hard as well since i have a bit of agoraphobia/social phobia going on and i haven't felt able to go out on my own for a very long time now. Had it not been for
foxglovecake I don't think i would have had a chance in hell of getting there all by myself. So much love to Miss Chelsea for taking the train in with me. Also, she happens to be super sweet, exrtemely funny and an absolutely adorable all at the same time, so it was nice to spend some time with her!
Got to New Street station and was really excited and nervous to see so many pretty lolis all in one place! Everyone looked very nice indeed. Our fearless leader and host
fifiijelly was rather humorous from the offset and desperately tried to make her voice loud enough over all of the chattering. We took a walk over to Brindley Place where we all somehow managed to fit onto a barge tea room for some yummies. Thumbs up for chocolate milkshake and getting to know
stockingshock and
scrabblemouse who were comedy gold. Also, managed to snap a picc of
stockingshock desperately trying to spread her butter with a spoon due to lack of appropriate cutlery on board.
We had a little time for photos fo outfits and a few group shots. It was lovely to see how much effort everyone had put into their outfit. There were a few girls who had only been dressing in loli for a very short time- I was very impressed with them as they all seemed to be a dab hand at co-ords already!
foxglovecake looking particularly pretty with her newly dyed hair!
How absolutely classy does
pinkieh look?! She was also really cool and we chatted about sewing quite a bit.
boykitten who i'm pretty sure just wakes up looking this superb! I like him so very much, and he really made me laugh.
Me,
pinkieh I'm really sorry i can't remember this girls name on the right, but i spend a good while talking to her and she was SOOO very nice. Also she looked absolutely fantastic. (if anyone knows her username, let me know cos i really want to talk to her again, k thnx)
These 2 lovelies were both called Rowan The first dapper dresser is
uauauaua and I think the second beauty is
framboiseruche (i may be wrong, sorry if i am) . I didn;t get a chance to speak to them but they looked so snazzy!
i don't think i ever saw
burnlikethesun stop smiling all day. happiest loli ever! she was lovely.
rave_andou who took most of these fantasic photos. doesn't she look adorable? <3
the incredible, rainbow-coloured
fifiijelly who made me giggle lots
and let's not forget
blondedebates who is THE nicest loli ever. she was very cool and i was in absolute awe of her all day. ^__^
here are some more photos from Brindley place...
Next we walked back across town to the rag market where i had great pleasure in asking a man on a habidashery stall if he could supply me with a nine inch black one. Zip, that is. Oh what a child I am. AHAHAHAHAH!
We the popped to the massive vintage shop in Digbeth where many an item was bought and lots of laughs were had.
me and that technicolour dress wearing
fifiijelly outside the vintage store
.
We walked back and up through the middle of the Bullring and some CUNT and his rude buy mates decided it would be funny to pull my skirt up. I gave him an earful and carried on walking but then had a bit of a meep when some of the girls asked me if i was ok. I was trying very hard not to make a fuss and bite my lip to stop from being upset but I was just so shocked that people could be so mean. I will never understand why twats think it's ok to pick on people just because they look different. I was really hurt. I think also bullies seem to have this amazing ability to hone in on the more vunerable people. I think if it had been one of the others they would have beaten the shit out of him with their parasol. I however, was too shocked to know what to do.
Some really good things did come of this, however. 1. This lady came up to me whilst i was crying and told us that she had gone after him and given him a right bollocking. she also said not to ever stop dressing like i do because of some knobheads. she said i looked beautiful. Which was really nice to hear. 2. I realised how lovely people can actually be. Everyone looked after me and tried to make me feel better. That means more than you can ever imagine, especially considering I had only met everyone that day.
blondedebates bought me a massive pink horsey balloon to cheer me up and came and tied it around my wrist. What a sweetie-pie! I named him Steve and then we all proceeded up New Street where people took pictures... and me and
burnlikethesun had a few unicorn races and fights. <3
a_shi_ra and
fifiijelly xxx This is my new favourite picture of all timexxx
We went to the art gallery for a bit of afternoon tea and cake. Kinda made me sad cos i would have loved to have gone around the museum, but that is nice to save for another day. I sat by
boykitten and we discussed important issues of the day such as tea, coffee and loli disasters.
blondedebates and I in the gallery tea room <3
In the end it was a lovely day. I can't wait to go again. Although next time i am definately taking
micster along with me, so i can cling to him when i'm scared. =^.^= nyan.
