*The sound of the blades on his gloves extending break the silence, before Ken attacks. He seems to be doing well, for a time, almost like he'd escape. But escaping is apparently harder than it would seem. There's a loud crack, a curse, and a hollow thud as Ken hits the ground. There's a bit of muttered, unintelligible speech, or something very like it, before Ken's claws are stripped away from him and tossed in the snow outside the back door. The sound of something-or someone-heavy being dragged away continues for a time before the journal cuts off recording.*
