I’m wide awake, it’s morning
Yesterday prom was really fun. I picked up Beth at 4: 30; I was exactly on time. Her parents were really nice. Beth looked so incredibly gorgeous. After several pictures were taken she and I left for pictures at my house and then we were off to the dance. Some high lights from prom were as follows :
- Beth being beautiful and charming
- Funny conversations with Travis Emmons ( I feel bad I didn’t go to his house after prom)
- Dinner was really good
- Dancing
- The ride home
- Ice cap
- The terrible irony of giving everyone beer mugs and wine glasses the day after and anti- drinking assembly.
After prom Beth and I bought some iced caffeine ( first time in a long time for me), and went to Pete’s. I was nervous about going to Pete’s, but I immediately felt at ease when I walked in the door. The Fernandez’s house is very interesting and eclectic. There is art everywhere. I talked to Mr. and Mrs. Fernandez for at least two hours about Art and music and they showed all this cool stuff. They have two original Dr. Seuss prints and a Salvador Dali drawing . Later on in the evening I met this girl named Christine. She was really nice and wasn’t like most of the people there. I also talked to Jeff for a little bit, and I think I want to take him to the next good show at the local. After a while I found Beth and her and I talked for a bit and then left. I dropped Beth off at her house around 4:45 and received a kiss on the cheek. On the way home I thought about starting a new life in the city and how the only thing I’m going to miss is the stars at night. Overall I’m really happy with my decision to go this year( It was nice to feel happy because I’ve been feeling so indifferent as of late) and I really couldn’t have had a better date than Beth.
