Why I Am Excited About the Superbowl
1. I am tired of people calling/coming into my store and getting shitty about the fact that we don't carry any Packers or Steelers merchandise. And while this won't end until at least a week (okay, a month) after the Superbowl, at least I'll be able to see the end in sight, and that's a positive.
2. HOLY SHIT THRILLER/HEADS WILL ROLL MASHUP IS AWESOME AND FIERCE NAYA IS FIERCE AND I WANT IT NOW.

5. I don't care if you think it's stupid, WE DON'T HAVE ANY FUCKING PACKERS OR STEELERS MERCHANDISE. No hats, no jerseys, no t-shirts, no Roethlisberger dartboards, nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
6. WARBLER BACKFLIP. Also, Blaine uses the word "audacity" in a song, thereby combining SAT prep with the fine art of getting fangirls hot and bothered. Good show, Blaine!
7. NO. FUCKING. PACKERS. MERCHANDISE. NO. FUCKING. STEELERS. MERCHANDISE. WE ARE MICHIGAN. OUR CITY IS DETROIT. OUR TEAM IS THE LIONS. PUT ON YOUR BLUE AND SILVER AND SHUT THE FUCK UP. OR GO TO THE U.P., BECAUSE THAT'S MORE OR LESS WISCONSIN ANYWAY.

I would also like to point out that it is my firm belief that since the Penguins are from Pittsburgh, and the Penguins are bastards, no one from Michigan can support any team from Pittsburgh because that's tantamount to betraying the Red Wings and the only people allowed to betray the Red Wings are whoever's playing defense this game. So while it's kind of okay-ish, maybe, to be a Packers fan if you've been a Packers fan for a long time and therefore realize that you could get your Packers jerseys across the bridge, there is just no excuse for trying to purchase any Pittsburgh-related merchandise in a Michigan store. Ever.
9. Although at least no one's asked me why we don't carry Avs, Blackhawks, or Mighty Ducks merchandise yet.
10. But I'm sure it'll happen someday.
In conclusion: The Lions went 6 and 10 this season and that's all I need to be happy.
