Hillary Clinton Sucks

I would like to bring up that the way Democrats are treated in the Congress is not like working on a Plantation, as Mrs. Hillary Clinton so candidly said on Martin Luther King Day.

Let us compare:

Democrats in CongressWorking on a Planation

WagesThis one should be fairly obvious: Democrats get payed to be in Congress. Those who worked on Planations, for most of US history, were not payed. The term most commonly used for these people would be "slaves"

CitizenshipCongressmen and Congresswomen have a really stable, solid ground on voting and citizenship. It goes with the territory."Slaves", if you will, were not considered citizens of the United States. In fact, there was debate as to whether or not they were even people. Under the law, they were correctly termed as "property".

FamiliesDemocrats in Congress with families may be worried that their right to choose whether or not they can have an abortion will be taken away from them and their constituents.Slaves on planations could not legally marry, and their children were property. Slave masters and overseers would often rape Black women, and beat, sell further South, or kill Black men for alleged assault on White women without any background check on whether the woman had insisted on the interaction.

VoiceThe Democrats in Congress are the minority party. This means they cannot accomplish very much, except fillibustering. Their voices are often dismissedA slave was beaten for saying anything a white person did not much care for. A slave could say so little that the slave would resort to encrypting messages in songs, thus, the Negroe Spiritual.

General WoesWill Roe v. Wade be overturned?
Will George W. Bush Jr. put Anti-Gay Marriage legislature in the Constitution?
Will the Christian Right take over our schools and teach children Natural Selection as a scientific theory?
Will we move from hopeless and unjust war to hopeless and unjust war until we have bankrupted ourselves, financially and morally, as a country? Will I have enough food to feed myself and my children?
Where will I find the time to mend my children's one/two/few pieces of clothes when they fray due to the heavy workload insisted apon them?
Will I be beaten today?
Will my children be beaten today?
Will I be raped today?
Will my family by sold somewhere far away today?
Will my family and I ever be free from bondage?

Without doubt, the general woes of the Democrats in Congress are significant, but they cannot possibly be compared to the worries of slaves. Planation life was a horrifying atrocity, the likes of which anyone who has spent their entire life free, let alone a Democrat in Congress, could hope to understand. It is the difference between rights being taken away and never having rights, being below rights. Democrats in Congress are not treated as if they worked on a Plantation, and for Mrs. Hillary Clinton to say so is apalling.
