Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Average height and weight.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? Patrick has extremely good posture.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? He's in shape, no pressing health issues.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Has a bit of a swagger, like he's introducing himself to the world as a formidable adversary.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? Patrick isn't Hollywood, but he's attractive in a rakish sort of way, though honestly, he couldn't give a hoot.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Patrick dresses in three piece suits, no tie, a waistcoat and scuffed brown shoes. Colors and fabrics are varied.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? His clothes fit well and he seems extremely comfortable in them, almost too comfortable.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? It's tenor and pleasing but has a definite whine to it when he wants.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? Patrick speaks the way Patrick wants, when he wants.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Nope.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? I'm guessing he knows a little bit of Spanish and French.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Nope.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? No thought necessary, Patrick usually spews out a stream of consciousness that sounds like it was well thought out and planned.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Patrick is ever so eloquent, even his replies of "because.." reek of it.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? Patrick is mostly street-smart with a little bit of book-smart, having read through many o'book.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? He's wonderful at thinking on his feet. It's one of (and maybe his only) protection.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? All four, whatever he's in the mood for.. Though basically he's intuitive and idealistic.
4. What kind of education has the character had? Hardly any.. Having been raised on the midwestern carnival circuit, he learned all he needed to from simply living life.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? Patrick is a Mentalist. That means basically, that he knows when you're sleeping and when you're awake and just what you're thinking at that very moment no matter if you want him to or not.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? He's an introvert playing at being an extrovert.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? Patrick is very mercurial in his moods, he's almost a child in that sense.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? He prods, sends out little mental feelers, etc etc..

10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Flight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? I think he goes for all that, especially when he's the one shooting them out at people.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? Even though he was in a mental hospital for months after he found his wife and daughter murdered, I don't think he's batshit crazy.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? The double murder of his wife and daughter, coming to terms with life again after that with Sophie Miller as a guide, arriving in Haurvatat.
14. What does he fear? Never catching Red John, what he's become.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations? Why, finding and torturing Red John, of course.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? I'd rather be on his good side and not answer that question.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? Patrick doesn't make friends easily, he has issues letting them in. Also, he snips at them and that's usually a no-no.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? Patrick doesn't believe in Heaven, or God for that matter.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? I don't believe he has a set code of morals or ethics.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? He mocks them openly, convinced he's in the right.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them? N/A
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Comfortable.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? He used to be a celebrity, but now is off of the camera and couldn't be happier.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? House. Decent though there's not a stitch of furniture or decoration inside of it save for a mattress in the bedroom. He lives alone.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Ponies, bail and new cars.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? He's a consultant for the CBI. He's very good at it and will continue working there until he finds Red John.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? Sleeping on the couch at the CBI and annoying the other members of the team.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? Eats enough, doesn't hate food. Has a few drinks here and there.
