confused
as many of you may or may not know I am a member of several online dating websites. Okcupid, geek2geek, and lavalife. all of them have yeilded a few results over the years and each have their own strengths and weeknesses. I was rebelling against joining plenty of fish because it's my ex's favorite dating site but so many people were telling me it was better that I felt "ok, whats the harm in joining" there is nothing special about my profile. In fact I copied the "about me" almost word for word from one of the other sites, put up a few recent pics of myself and went about my day. and then bam.
I checked my email that night (less than 24 hours since I joined) and I had 10 emails from people wanting to talk to me. what in the hell is going on? my profile is no different than any of my others and I get more hits on my first day than I do in a year on the others combined?
now granted, not all of the emails were of legitimate interests. Some of them were just to tell me I had nice tits (as if I didn't know) and one was a creepy old man but most of them were legitimate "hey I liked your profile we should talk" messages
it's just mindboggling to me.
for some reason I don't trust it. but I'm going to go along for the ride and see where it takes me
