[Sydney Seals]
Okay. So as some of you may have noticed, I've been spending an abnormal amount of time with the computer lately...and thank you for having the faith in me not to accuse me of wasting my time playing Minesweeper, by the way, because I have been, in fact, getting things done.
Since Molly got the barrier locations from Tyler, we know exactly what we need to defend, so I've been trying to come up with something.
It's...probably not as good as what Keye was planning to do before we lost him, but, well, he had a power to link himself right into the wires and I'm just a nerd with a keyboard and a good working knowledge of C++, so this is the best I can manage. Deal.
Those of you living with me - you see the other computer in the corner? Good. Don't touch it. That one is busy taking the info from every relevant source I've been able to get into - emergency reports, those skycams they use to show traffic on the news, that kind of crap - and putting it in a nice readable format so we can see it all at once. You will probably see me looking at it. A lot. Because I still haven't come up with something that can sort through all the everyday bullshit and go "HEY LOOK, SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUALS AT TEN O'CLOCK!" yet. (I kind of doubt it's possible to do something like that with today's technology, really. Damn the twentieth century's lack of superintelligent AI. Damn it all to hell.)
Still trying to see if I can do anything with the security systems those locations might already have on the ground, but you know, that's a lot of crap to try and hack into, and I'm not Superman. If I make any astonishing breakthroughs I'll keep you guys posted, but don't hold your breath.
