What am I supposed to do? Is it this? Or this? Uh--

[ The video feed continuously goes on and off, but the sound is still there. It appears that Sora is struggling to use the communicator effectively. [Axel's eyes widen when a familiar voice and face pop up onto his a communicator. Wasn't he - hadn't he - those bright blue eyes and that spiky-brown hair is unmistakable as Axel fumbles with the device and in the end drops it.

...Look who's decided to return! [There's a smirk on his face and he gives a little wave.] Sora! Yo.

[ The communicator sits in his lap while he rubs his face with his hands. He can't believe his eyes and ears. Axel's back! ]

[One thing Sora will always be good at is surprising Axel. The (ex-) Organisation XIII member blinks at his communicator for a moment, and he could feel a tiny frown attempting to form. Yet he catches it before it can present itself, though his smirk changes to one of his perfected artificial smiles. His gloved hands tap the little black device momentarily before he finally speaks, the realization of yet another case of confusion now evident to him.]

...Well, that's about right. Don't worry, you're not dreaming.

Gave that final attack my all. [Axel's not quite sure what to make of the rest of Sora's reactions to him.] Don't doubt your memories, Sora.

[ He looks away from the communicator - possibly at Roxas, because who else would he look for at a time like this? - then back to the screen. Sora picks up the communicator again, and appears to be concentrating on something. If he doesn't ask how this happened, it'll bug him for days, and now is a good time for questions. ]

[He turns his head away from the communicator before speaking.]

Honestly, I'm not too sure myself. One moment I was chatting with Roxas before we both faded after we said our goodbyes...

[Axel trails off, before looking back towards the screen, smiling somberely.] Stumbled onto the scene here next. Quite literally, you know. Heh. [His smile perks back up.] Roxas found me; told me you were here too. Naminé appeared shortly after my own arrival. ['Kairi and Roxas told the Order those botched lies. You and Kairi left, then Xion appeared. Now you're back.']

...Look, it's complicated and I'd rather not go into details. Not right now. We'll talk later. [A pause.] After all, you've just arrived. What matters now if that you've returned, yeah?

[ His return is important, Sora guesses, but there's something he wants to address that he thinks is more important than anything about himself. He smiles, looks away again, then looks back. ]

You and Roxas are together again! And Roxas and Naminé!

[That smile... and comment, makes Axel break out into a real smile. He chuckles a bit.]

Yeah, that's right. [Grins. 'You're important too, y'know.'] Oh, almost forgot. Xion too. I'll introduce you to her later. Commit it to memory. ['She's going to run again. I'll just have to bring her back.']

[ He wonders if, since the girl's name has an "x" in it, she's a Nobody in Organization XIII, too. It's not important right now, and Sora has one more thing he really wants to say to Axel. Asking about Xion's name can wait, because it's still a good time to talk about this. ]

I'm really glad you're back, Axel. Things would feel weird without you.

[Axel wonders just how enthusiastic Sora can continue to be over everything. It's not bad, but it's not what he expected. Hearing Sora happy about Xion relaxes the redhead slightly, making a note to talk it over with the ebony-haired girl beforehand. He's relieved that Sora hasn't asked any questions about her, though he guesses that they'll come later.

...Wow. Axel's visibly surprised by the comment Sora makes. He's not quite sure what to make of this friendliness coming from the Keyblade Master, but at the same time he's does not discourage it. He looks away, running a hand through his red spiky hair, to hide his embarrassment.]

We've got something in common then. It was weird without you around, y'know.
