[Ami has been keeping an eye on the shops lately; after all, the holiday season is approaching and she'd like to come up with meaningful gifts for her friends.
She sees a guy she hasn't seen around before; nothing unusual in that, but it's the New Feather time, and he's certainly looking for whatever he might have lost as if it's very important. She approaches him somewhat carefully.]
Excuse me... Have you lost something? Could I help find it, maybe?
[Before he notices Ami, Bean is pushing aside various objects on the shelves with little decorum, and huffing and puffing in frustration. He gasps in surprise as Ami speaks to him, clutching his heart briefly and breathing in relief when he realises it's not a monster or murderer or something.]
A-hem. [He speaks, avoiding eye contact with the stranger, in a low voice.] Er. I'm looking for my friend, Teddy.
[Like most of them. Well, it can't be helped; Ami keeps looking through the various shelves and bins as well.]
Things from home do show up here sometimes.
[On the notably bright side, she isn't really calling it weird that a grown man is uprooting the store for his teddy bear. She's a great one for stuffed animals herself, still.]

[Nothing wrong with grown men sleeping with teddies, you know. Not that this mun does.
Hearing that things from home do turn up only makes Bean more determined to find Teddy. How will Teddy survive without him? He didn't even leave any food in the fridge. Apart from that tin of beans, but Teddy can't use a tin opener now, can he?
Bean pushes a few things aside on a shelf, pretty sure he spotted Teddy. No, nevermind. It's just a pair of rolled up socks and an aubergine. Grr! Bean stumbles across the shop, pushing a few pots and pans aside on another shelf noisily, maybe even knocking a few things over.]

[Well, Ami's the type to use formal speech with them, so she understands the lingering sentiments.
Not so much the tearing the shop apart. She heads over there, and quietly picks up a few things to keep looking, as though demonstrating the proper way to go about it.]
I think it's better to keep things tidy while you search. That way you can find everything easier.
[Action] I do too. But I think I need about 200 iconslooking4mywatchNovember 17 2011, 15:56:19 UTC
[Bean looks at Ami with bewilderment and then tuts loudly and rolls his eyes like a kid, as if to communicate "oh, fine!" Reluctantly, he starts to carefully look through things. Although he's being somewhat too careful now, sloooowly lifting things up in order to look under them, and then every so slowly setting them back down.]

[Bean gives an embarassed 'oh' look in Ami's direction and puts down what he's holding, flinching as there's a small clatter. Still, he's been looking around the shop for ages now. It doesn't look like Teddy is here. He sighs and groans in frustration.]
[Bean looks at Ami questioningly for a moment, before an invisible light bulb appears above his head. Somewhere else? Of course! Maybe Teddy found himself in another part of this village in whatever confusion brought him here.
Excitedly, Bean rushes to the door and beckons Ami to come with him on his epic search for his teddy.]
[She really has things she should be doing... But she doesn't want to leave him alone when he's new and searching for something that'll make being here easier. She hurries after him after all.]

I'm sorry for frightening you.
[She thinks a moment. Looking for his friend by turning over everything in the bins? Until she realizes the name.]
Could it be the 'Teddy' you mean is a teddy bear?
Reply
He is a bear, yes. Sort of... [And he indicates Teddy's height with his hands. About teddybear height, if you will.]

I'll help you look. What color is he? What sort of clothes is he wearing?

It's alright to look. Only try not to make a mess we'll have to clean up later.

It may be somewhere else. We'll keep looking for now until we've looked everywhere.

Perhaps Teddy appeared in the Pizzeria? Bean will just quickly shuffle his way in that direction.] Oh, Teddy!
