Inadvertent Humor on Postsecret

Jan 30, 2010 22:51

You-all know what Postsecret is, right? Every Saturday, the owner posts a series of people's secrets, as sent to him on postcards. It's supposed to be freeing and beautiful, and I suppose it is. I read it, and sometimes they are quite touching, sometimes lame. The site also supports a suicide prevention hotline, with the idea that untold secrets are one of the things that drive people to despair.

Anyway, the last four cards on this past Saturday read:

"The part of the day I look forward to most, is when I get to pee in the shower."

(pencil drawing of shower curtain with pee pooling underneath bare feet)

"I pee in the shower to save time and effort."

"I like to pee in the shower... partially to save water but mostly because I'm lazy."

Then the public service advert:

Thank You

Last Sunday I asked for your support in our effort to create the first peer-to-peer online crisis center...

Please tell me this was inadvertent. Please.
