Anyone have any ideas what job I should take here?

Something about this town is bothering me. It's not the rows of identical houses, or how downtown is an equal distance away from any of them at any time, or even how the town grows larger and overlaps flawlessly.
I've mapped out the town. Whenever all the houses fill up, a new street gets added, right? Some familys have some drones, but every house other than the new street has at least one sane person.
...except for 501 Ricardo. John and Jane Smith, that's the most generic names I've heard yet. And this from a town with a "John Doe" for mayor and an "Officer Grady" as a police chief. It's like a crappy sitcom.
So, has anyone attempted contact with the Smith family yet?
