it's been awhile
Intrigued, I guess, is the right word to describe how I feel about the premiere. That's mostly due to the big ol cliffhanger - is Sylar a Petrelli? It would explain a lot. That whole family is fucked up.
I'm seriously a bit confused about the new Nikki. Is she Nikki or not? IDK how she got that new power, though. Freeze people? What?!
Also: why are they trying to ship Maya and Mohinder? It didn't work when they tried to ship Maya and Sylar. And we all know Sylar/Mohinder is where it's at, right? Basically I just hate Maya. She and her stupid brother were the worst things about S2 and remind me too much of Nikki and Paulo.
BUT OMG SHIRTLESS MOHINDER. HEATHUS CHRIST, THAT MAN IS BEAUTIFUL.
I know I've probably said things contrary to this before, but honestly, I don't find Zachary Quinto that attractive. I like Sylar and think he's a fantastic villain, but eh, I don't see the appeal.
I'm not too fond of Hiro's storyline. Again. I think my overall dislike of new characters on this show is clouding my view a bit. I do, however, welcome villain Ando. It's an interesting twist.
Claire's bit is getting old. How many times do we have to see her heal herself? I mean, yes, it's different now that she can't feel pain but if she makes another video I swear to God ... it was shocking the first time we saw it, now it's old hat. I want her to go with HRG. Sticking around at home is boring. Maybe something interesting will come out of her mother being there, though. IDK.
Future!Peter is way hotter than Peter. I'm so glad to see him again.
I like how Nathan is trying to do good, but I don't see him succeeding. Not with his wackjob mother and evil brother about (or two evil brothers?) And not!Nikki working with him. Not to mention THE VILLAINS FUCKING ESCAPED.
Overall, I like the darker tone of this season. I think things are only going to get worse before they get better. If they do get better. Maybe that horrible future they keep showing will actually happen. And to be honest, I'm rooting for the villains.
