Sharpe's Gold -
book/
film Gold is one of the books that was largely unrecognisable on screen. Do you think it should have been renamed? Would you have preferred the films stay more faithful to the books? What would you like to have seen, or which book would you have preferred be adapted in its place?
The book, however, covers a lot of ground, both politically and emotionally. What did you think of Sharpe's dealings with the women in this book? How well do you think Cornwell captured the tension between the British and the Spanish? Do you think Sharpe's actions were honourable?
