“I’m giving the orders here.”
“Except that you’re wrong. You’ll get us all killed for nothing.”
“It’s the army, Pat. I am the officer, I give the orders, you are the soldier, you obey them!”
“Even if the orders are stupid, ill thought-out and insane, Richard?”
“Even if I tell you to shoot your own grandmother, Harper, you stubborn, bone-headed Paddy!”
“Stubborn is it, Major, Sharpe? And you’d know all about that, so you would!”
“What I know, Sergeant, is that you’ll do as I say right now.”
“Is that right, Sir?”
“Dan, hold my jacket, while I thump him!”
