Dates.

Can I just say, before I even start this story, I totally and completely thought he was joking from the start? I want that understood. I had no time to mentally prepare myself for this date, so anything I say, please don't hold me responsible.
All of this is kinda paraphrased, by the way.

Last practice we had was on Thursday, so the day after Valentine's Day. Our Coach was there (late, as always) and with him was one of the new freshmen on the OSU team. The freshman, his name is Mark, has come to practices before this--a lot of the time he was my opponent, so we know each other pretty well. We're friends. It's a pretty cool relationship. I always assumed he had a girlfriend because he's really cute and funny, if a little quiet. So Coach (Lindell) is talking about his Valentine's Day with his girlfriend, and it just expands to the rest of the team of "What did you do on Valentine's Day?" Everyone else there had had a date, or a movie night, or they hung out with friends. 'Cept for me. Lindell made a snarky comment about how "Well of course no one wants to date you, you're not pretty enough for a Valentine's date." (He was joking, by the way. I think. I hope.) Mark jumps in with "Well, I would've asked her out, but I thought she had a boyfriend--being the smart, funny, gorgeous girl she is." (Again, I totally think he's kidding.) I laugh and say something like "Yeah, that'll be the day."

He says, "Well, how about Friday? Around 7? We can catch a movie."

I think he's kidding. He's 19. So I say "Yeah, sure. Now, show me that z-serve again."

He came to my house at 7:00. I DIDN'T KNOW! I was in sweatpants and a sweatshirt and I was just like "What? What date?"
Mentally I'm thinking: Shit fucking bastards of hell!

So yeah. We went to Bridge to Terabithia 'cause I'm not 18 and he's just cool like that. Yeah. I'm still kinda weirded out by this whole thing.
What am I supposed to do about this?
