aghhh
Okay, so I started working at some lame movie theater last week.... and I wasn't sure what it would be like closing cause that's what they scheduled me for this entire week. So I closed friday night and it sucked but I thought yeah I can do this for a few months it's not that bad. They make you clean the entire concession for like 3 hours (from 11pm-2am). but tonight, omfg.. I really really really really, I never felt like I wanted to throw something and quit more in my life than last night.
So, they put me in concession from 5-11 meanwhile they don't show me shit. This guy bill tried to show me as much as possible but it was hard cause it got busy... so they just tell me to do shit and I try as hard as I can to do it and not mess it up and figure it out myself almost. LIKE MAKING FOOD AND SHIT, and I didn't even mind really, it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.. making people's food. Really, you just put on gloves, get it from a freezer, put it in some special oven that knows all the food already and press the button for that specific food.
So, after we close I'm kinda tryin to clean up but they're not really tellin me what to do so I'm just doin the best I can tryin to figure it out and then this one manager is such a fucking bitch man anytime she talked to me she had to find something wrong with me. While I'm washing dishes I was trying to get the spray thingy hotter and I turned the hot water on a lot and it was still cold so she was standing there and I'm like hey do you know how to get this hotter? and she's like turn the hot water and I turned it a little more even though I ALREADY TURNED IT A LOT, and it was still cold so I just sat there with it running and it finally got hotter and she's like I can't believe u didn't try turning the hot water and I was like I did I just wasn't sure if I had to do something else and she's like I need to re-evaluate your intelligence and oh my god I wanted to punch her in the face so bad after that.
THEN, I have no fucking idea who's idea it was to hire a 110lb girl to do strenuous physical activities for 7.50 an hour because really I had no idea that was in the job description when they hired me. Anyways, the one manager is like hey I need you to fill the ice bins all the way, so I go fill up these ice carriers and omfg they must be like 3 feet tall, a foot wide, and 4 feet long way... it must have weighed honestly like 50 lbs I really don't know BECAUSE I DON'T LIFT WEIGHTS JESUS CHRIST.. I had to lift 12 of them and pour the ice in, I really really wanted to scream because I'm not physically fit for that. if they need people to do stuff like that they should have hired someone twice my size. AND WHILE I'm doing that, like struggling to lift these ice carriers, the manager's like U NEED TO HURRY UP.. honestly I wish I had it on video because it was a total joke.. Just picture me lifting these fucking HUGE ice carriers like I'm almost gonna fall backwards, and then someone like hurry up... YEAH YOU NEED TO GET someone who's like fkn 200 lbs for this not me.
Then I had to carry all these huge boxes of water and restock the water which didn't seem as bad after that fucking hell of ice bins.. then that bitch manager was like hey what r u doin and I'm like uhh restocking water and then she just looked at me like I was a total idiot and the other manager shook her head.. cause there were 3 managers and the 3rd one told me to do it so they can fuck off god..........
THEN the manager's like alright I need a mop, so I go to the closet and I come back with a mop and bucket and then I'm like shit, I guess I was supposed to fill it up back there cause I didn't see a hose thing in the back, and this guy jason's like why is she tellin u to do that and not tellin u what to do and he's like you need to fill it with floor cleaner then fill it with water.. so I run back and do that and I have no idea how much floor cleaner to put in so I just guessed, and I came back and she's like alright mop this whole area. So, I start moppping and I've never had a job where I mopped before and I never had to do it at home I don't even think we have a mop at my house.. So, it was my first time mopping and she's like omg ur doin it wrong and I'm like sorry, I haven't done this before and she's like wow u put too much floor cleaner in it and I'm like omfg.... then she should have TOLD ME HOW MUCH TO PUT IN.
TL;DR I'm not goin back to this shitty job ever, it's not worth 7.50 for people to not properly train someone in something or make someone do something they obviously aren't fit for and expect them to do it as fast and efficient as possible without messing up. Also, I don't need some idiot manager calling me an idiot, I hope she gets hit by a car today.
