Site News for December 2016 Pt. 2 / January 2017

All of the links under Lonie's Places are now active. I finally got around to updating my Profiles on my FanFiction.Net, FictionPress.Com, and LiveJournal (the page you are currently viewing) pages. Let's just say that it's been years since the last time I touched those. My profiles were in desperate need of some serious editing, even if they basically say the same thing. LOL! Anyway, do know that the fiction found in those places will eventually be updated (or finally posted in FictionPress.Com's case), just after they have been updated and restored on The Chronicles website. So, please excuse the messy state they are in at the moment.

The Site FAQs are also up and running, although, they are currently incomplete. At first, I had planned to wait until other sections of the site were restored. But, those who know how to contact me directly started bombarding me with questions. LOL! So, I ended up moving its planned restoration date up a bit. It will be frequently updated as other sections of the site are restored (and as the flood of questions continue to pour in). Eventually, I'll get around to adding a submission form so you can conveniently submit your questions directly through the site, but that will be awhile. My main focus at this point in time is the restoration of the site. Until then, however, you can post your questions via the FAQs tag here on my LJ.

Under My Workbench section, only the Plots in the Works are back up at this time. Previously, this section housed fragments and teasers of fics that were soon to be posted to the site. Now, however, this section has been completely revamped as there are no actual fics posted in this section. There is only a 'listing' of stories I am currently in the process of outlining. This method of first outlining my stories before writing them serves three purposes. First, this is in an effort to limit the number of works-in-progress I have going simultaneously on the site. Second, by knowing the main points I want to tackle, it should allow for a quicker update schedule for new fic chapters. And third, to avoid writing myself smack into a black-hole. I can't even begin to tell you how many of my 'unpublished' fics I have recently reviewed were on the verge of tripping over a few plot-holes. *Sheesh!*

Also, with all of the updates happening to the site, if you should happen across a page that looks kind of wonky after an update, try either refreshing the page or clearing your browsers cache. That should snap things back in order for you. Browsers love to 'cache' websites and will hang on to the old versions of a recently updated page until you tell it otherwise. Both Firefox and Google Chrome are notorious for this. However, a simple click of the 'refresh' button will solve the issue in most cases.

As usual, there are still links you will come across on the site that will point you to either my Live Journal (the page you are currently viewing) or to the main entrance page of the site until their sections are restored. And finally, remember to keep up-to-date with the ongoing restoration of the site via the Site News tag here on my LJ.

Till next time!
